Q: Tell us something about yourself, where you’re based, and how you came to be a writer?

A: I live in Cardiff. For all its modernisation, there are still remnants of old Victorian Cardiff. I love the castle in the centre of the city and the fact that you have the sea on one side and the mountains on the other side of Cardiff.  I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.   I’ve always loved to write.  My teachers at school used to limit me to no more than ten pages.  I wrote short stories for magazines, it paid my way through college.

 

Q: What genre do you generally write and have you considered other genres?

A: Supernatural stories, they are fun and you can let your imagination run riot.  I wrote a romantic story once as a screenplay.  I might re-write it as a novel one day, I liked the story.

Q: What have you had published to-date? Do you have a favourite of your books or characters?

A: My first novel Judgement of Souls has just been published as an eBook by www.bookstogonow.com and is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Goodreads.  I love Rachel, my main character – she’s strong and independent, but I do admit to having a soft spot for Daniel, the club owner.  I had a few short stories published in a few women’s magazines some years ago. I didn’t keep copies of the magazines but I do have the stories saved.  I re-wrote one of them recently and sent it to BTGN as a short story

Q: Have you had any rejections? If so, how do you deal with them?

A:  Lots and lots. Before I met Jenni at Bookstogonow, I sent the novel off to several agents in the UK and US.  Rejection is all part of the profession, it’s tough each time you get a letter, but you have to put up with it because one day, you’ll get accepted. What isn’t easy is getting a rejection from a publisher who couldn’t be bothered to write you a letter back, just scribbled no thanks at the bottom of your letter! That’s harsh.

Q: Have you won or been shortlisted in any competitions and do you think they help with a writer’s success?

A: They do inspire confidence.   I did come runner-up in a script writing competition, but nothing came from it.  But at least I’d been noticed!

Being raped and beaten by her owners and by the men who pay for her, she feels completely dead inside. When a failed escape gets her bought by another man, she tries to gain his trust, and after her initiation into the “Millionaires” club, she has some hope that one of the men will help her find her daughter and get her away from this life.

This is a story that really grabs you and hits you with reality. Sex Slavery and Trafficking is such a horrible crime, yet it is going on everyday and I hope this story will bring more attention to it and make others aware of this awful reality.

But before their Mating Ritual , they have a few issues to deal with along with having a meeting with Delvin a vampire who is an Enforcer set up by the vampire leader Zane , to eliminate threats to the supernatural community, and explain what happened the night before and find out how humans got their hands on vampire blood.

An emotional story , it has lust , anger , death and love. Very heartfelt.

With a wounded man that is setting up infection , Jean offers to take care of him. While in Bradens village Jean is nursing the wounded warrior , all while yearning to feel Bradens touch. The passion they have for each other becomes overwhelming. While trying to plan the next attack on Niall , the temptation for passion towards each other escalates with a heated Desire that leaves them both wanting more .  With it time to go to battle to take back whats his , he makes his way into  the castle , but only to find that Niall has taken Jean once again. But will Braden be able to save her unlike he was able to save his family or will the woman he longs for die before him by Nialls dagger.

This is a passionate Scottish Romance , that has a little of everything in it , action , heartache , lust and betrayal. I really enjoyed how Author Donna Grant brought it alive by using Scottish slang throughout the story.

  Peter Marlow is a drifter of sorts , who tries to keep a low profile and interact as less as possible with others, until he comes to Harlton.

After seeing a man hitting on his wife , Peter takes interest in Sally & Dan Fletcher, he soon learns from Mrs. Evelyn Jarrowby, how abusive Dan is and that Sally will never be free until he’s dead.

As time goes on Peter begins to spend more time with Sally , now he has to decide if he wants to follow his heart and kill her husband or should he keep on the same track and pack up and leave town for good.

A heartfelt story. To the point and very meaningful. Enjoyed reading this short story very much.

Dr. Mark Coresu was a priest in the 1600’s before being turned into a vampire. Now four centuries later he is a successful Dr. , but when darkness falls he begins his “Judging” of those who have sinned and done evil. He believes by making them repent then killing them , he is serving God. He has done this for so long he believes it’s right and does not question his actions.

He then meets Hope Brannen , who he now thinks God has sent to him to be his mate. Hope falls for him , but knowing his “Judging” isn’t right she turns to Anthony Agricola, to help Mark uncover his past. But will the two of them be able to save his soul or will he be lost forever.

I have read alot of Vampire books and alot of them have the same storyline to them, but I haven’t read anything quite like this before. I love the way that vampirism and christianity are put together with a bold , yet twisted plot. This brings a whole new meaning to Good v/s Evil. The characters are brilliant and exciting.

I know I will soon be reading Damascus Road- The Corescu Chronicles Book Two !

Elizabeth finds herself chained in a cell , trying to figure out how she got there , when she meets Vultar a tall handsome creature that she soon learns is her soul mate. Once they are rescued from the dungeon, she learns of her new life with Vultar. She is taken to her new beautiful village. After fighting off another races leader that wants her for himself , she is in a deep sleep for four days , but once she finally comes to , she is in the loving arms of Vultar. She is still learning the ways of her new life ,when she becomes preagnant , but she soon finds out it is not going to be like a normal human preagnancy nor will her babies lives be like human babies. Elizabeth , or Setiana, which is her new name ,may not be strong enough to deal with only having her babies for a short time , the attacks of Baltarna , and learning she has more than one Tellianar.

This is a Great series , it has so many twists and unexpected turns that you will find yourself in the world of Zoctornyia , and being fascinated with all the amazing characters.

Kate and Lex are seated together on their plane to Scotland when it crashes , Lex and Kate are in for a twisted ordeal , that gives you so many unexpected turns.

It’s Thrilling , exciting , and entertaining. All you want is for Kate to find happiness.

In The Land of Winter has so many unexpected events that it’s hard not to give any spoilers , the ending is great and leaves you wanting more.

This is a Wonderfully written Book, and I look forward to reading Margaret Sarah Bechtel’s next book , which will be out very soon.
